The role of the Estimator Curtain Walling will involve:
- Producing estimates for a high-end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems such as aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, glazing, and rainscreen cladding.
- Reviewing tender documents and producing high-quality tender returns.
- Utilising specialist estimating software to determine material costs.
- Negotiating prices with the supply chain and gathering quotations for projects.
- Liaising and building relationships with main contractors throughout the project and beyond.
- Ensuring that the internal CRM system is regularly updated.
- Prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Estimating experience within the building envelope market sector.
- Good technical knowledge of the façade industry (curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreen).
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- IT literacy, ideally familiar with estimating software like Schueco and Logikal.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- A proactive and motivated approach with strong commercial awareness.
