The role of Estimator Structural Building Components includes:
- Estimator position dealing with a range of residential & commercial concrete / structural building components
- Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
- Negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Producing formal quotations to customers
- Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
- Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
- Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
- Establish and maintain relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Structural Building Components with:
- Must have Estimating experience within the Construction sector
- Highly advantageous to have experience within the Civils sector, ideally dealing with concrete products, structural building components or infrastructure systems.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Full UK driving license
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good team player who also works well individually
