The role includes:
- Dealing with a range of woodwork and joinery projects for the fit-out sector.
- Supporting procurement and operational activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects from enquiry through to completion.
- Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations.
- Negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Producing formal quotations to customers.
- Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines.
- Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
- Contacting customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Estimating experience within the Woodworking or Joinery sector.
- Previous experience on retail fit-out projects (highly advantageous).
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A full UK driving license.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team player who also works well individually.
