The role will involve:
- Field sales key account management role, selling a manufactured range of OSB, chipboard and MDF based wood panel products.
- Responsible for circa 5 key customer accounts (2 builders merchants could be national or independent and 3 panel importer distributors who buy in bulk and sell to small pallets to the independent merchants).
- Revenue responsibility for approx. £15m-£20m.
- Existing customer accounts will be stable and performing within the company expected scope.
- 100% account development role.
- Visiting head office and also branches with field sales team as required.
- Creating framework agreements.
- Developing the products range within customers.
- Forecasting, pricing and account planning.
- Customer facing role, ideally 4 days a week on the road, although in reality may be 50/50 due to high volume of administration.
The ideal applicant will have:
- 5 years+ proven track record of account management, ideally key account management within the construction industry, ideally building products.
- Builders merchants and distributor customer prior experience may be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence at executive and C-level.
- Forecasting and account planning capability.
- Product knowledge of chipboard & MDF panels is not essential, as full product training will be provided.
- Outstanding attitude, our client is looking for a can-do approach, proactive nature, intelligence and roll sleeves up mentality.
- Looking for longevity in career, no job hoppers.
