The role of the Project Manager / Site Manager Flat Roofing involves promoting a high quality range of flat roofing services including cold applied liquid, built up felt, hot melt, green roofs, solar, and single ply.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the project from tender to completion
- Writing up health and safety documents for each individual site
- Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
- Liaising with quantity surveyors and commercial managers to ensure smooth progress and adherence to project deadlines while maintaining the project cost plan
- Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
- Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
- Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
- Overseeing a single contract at any given moment, predominantly on commercial projects such as local authorities, NHS, and schools
The ideal applicant will have:
- A proven track record in Site or Project management in the flat roofing market sector
- Experience in both new build (single ply & hot melt) and refurbishment flat roofing systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
- A full UK driving license
- The ability to work well as a team and fit the culture
- A CSCS card & SMSTS
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Confidence and articulation
- The ability to plan and organise deliverables
- High self-confidence
