The role of the Specification Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products will involve:
- Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles.
- Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll).
- 100% specification field sales role, targeting architects and interior designers (A&D), fit-out contractors and end users.
- Historically strong into commercial office, education, universities, student accommodation etc.
- Working alongside two existing field sales professionals covering London.
- Inheriting a small project bank, you will be expected to invoice a relatively small amount of £500,000 in your first year.
- Targeting to grow a sizable project bank of circa £3m-£5m, with a view to closing these projects over the coming years.
- Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database.
- Project sizes from 500m², typically £10,000 upwards project value.
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products with:
- A proven track record of selling into the architects or interior designers (A&D) specification marketplace.
- Ideally from the flooring/ carpet industry.
- Open to interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture.
- Contacts within architects and interior designers (A&D), fit-out contractors and end users may be beneficial.
- Tactile sales background rather than technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related.
- Team player with energy, passion and enthusiasm.
- Strong commercial and presentation skills.
