Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000

The role of the Estimator – Architectural & Structural Metalwork will involve:

  • Estimating position dealing with a range of high quality balustrades, stairs, balconies and structural steel
  • Liaise with clients and designers to gain a full understanding of project requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain costs for materials, labour and plant and equipment
  • Produce detailed take-offs and formalised quotations to clients
  • Keep internal database and documentation up to date
  • Attending at mid-bid & post tender meetings
  • Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
  • Working on project sizes ranging between £300k - £3m

The ideal applicant will be Estimator – Architectural & Structural Metalwork with:

  • Must have 3 years’ experience estimating experience within a specialist subcontractor
  • Must have steel fabrication experience however would consider other building envelope backgrounds such as cladding, cladding support systems, metalwork, etc
  • Experience working on large scale projects
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Driven, ambitious, self-motivated and a positive attitude
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment
  • Be able to commute or re-locate
