The role of the QS / Commercial Manager Flooring will involve:
- Overseeing multiple commercial flooring projects across offices, hospitality, and education sectors
- Carrying out site visits and client meetings to build long-term relationships, covering projects nationally from the Manchester office
- Managing commercial flooring projects from tender through to completion, delivering on time, within scope, and to specification
- Carrying out site surveys, preparing accurate quotations, and overseeing tender submissions
- Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
- Producing BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
- Providing progress reports, forecasts, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery
- Managing projects ranging in value up to circa GBP250k
The ideal applicant will be a QS / Commercial Manager Flooring with:
- 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager
- Commercial flooring experience (vinyl, commercial carpets, carpet tiles, rubber flooring, vinyl flooring, LVT etc.)
- Experience managing more than one project at one time is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
- Resilience to manage site installers
- Professional and highly organised
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Full UK driving license
