Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + £10,000 commission + Company Bonus £5,500 car allowance or salary sacrifice EV & comprehensive benefits.
The role of the Specification Sales Manager - Lighting Switch & Socket will involve:
- Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of lighting switch, socket and building controls.
- Specification role, 70-80% A&D architect and interior designer led (winning and breaking competitor project specifications).
- Remainder of time managing relationships with lighting designers, main contractors, M&E consultants and M&E contractors.
- Targeting projects with high end residential, hospitality, commercial and heritage buildings.
- Typical project sizes £100,000-£150,000 (range from £30,000-£500,000).
- Year one target of £750,000 specifications written, £1m year two.
- Typically specification sales managers should have a pipeline of £3m-£4m over a 12-18 month period, with a view to converting circa 30%.
- Due to our clients’ name and reputation to the market, this is predominantly an account development position.
- Replying to RFQs.
- Supported by technical and product development teams.
- Solving design, functionality and cost-related challenges.
- Conduct presentations/ provide technical support.
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Lighting Switch & Socket with:
- Must have A&D architect and interior design project specification field sales experience.
- Open to all interior/ fit out product backgrounds.
- Preferably with a network of contacts within the A&D architect and interior design community.
- Specific knowledge of lighting switch, socket and building controls is not essential as full product training will be provided.
- High end residential, hospitality, commercial and heritage buildings sector experience may be advantageous.
- Vibrant, energetic and full of life.
- Highly organised and capable.
- IT Literate.
