Office Based: South Yorkshire

Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 neg + Discretionary Bonus & Company Car allowance

The role of Estimator – Fit-Out will involve:

  • Estimator position dealing with a range of commercial construction projects including fit-out, strip-out and refurb
  • Typical projects include full turnkey solutions across medical, educational and leisure sectors
  • Requirement to visit sites across the UK to conduct site surveys, attend project meetings and gather information required for estimating.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
  • Negotiating with clients, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team
  • Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
  • Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
  • Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
  • Working on projects ranging in value from £5000 to circa £5m+

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Fit-Out with:

  • Must have Estimating experience within Fit-Out or closely related
  • Would be open to someone within strip-out, refurb, new build or joinery
  • Highly advantageous to have understanding of construction contracts and the ability to read and interpret contractual documentation.
  • Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
  • Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
