Overview
Designer – Roofing & Cladding Systems based in Warrington. Salary: Negotiable package. Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package. The role involves working on a high end range of roofing and cladding systems, producing project drawings, and coordinating with design teams, manufacturers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Designer position dealing with a high end range of roofing and cladding systems such as: rainscreen cladding, single ply, composite roofing and cladding, SFS and liquid applied
- Produce 2D project specific working and fabrication drawings
- Liaise regularly with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to discuss any design related queries
- Liaise with systems manufacturers and suppliers
- Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
- Attend weekly design reviews virtually and face to face as required
- Producing estimates for projects ranging in value from £2k to £1m
- Scope to progress into a Senior position
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years\’ Design experience within the roofing and cladding market sector
- Familiar with a range of building envelope systems such as: standing seam, composite, rainscreen cladding, single-ply flat roofing, hot melt roofing, SFS, structural framing systems
- Must have AutoCAD experience
- Must have a sound understanding of building regulations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Team player with a positive outlook
- Motivated, proactive, and driven individual
- Must be commercially aware and cost focused
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
