The role of the Designer / Draughtsperson Bespoke Joinery & Furniture will involve:
- Dealing with a high-end bespoke range of furniture and joinery projects.
- Responsibility for efficient and accurate delivery of design schemes in line with client requirements, project scope, costs, material lead times and deadlines.
- Reviewing and interpreting client drawings to gain a full understanding of what the project entails.
- Liaising with the client to obtain further information that is required.
- Producing clear 2D drawings using Solidworks & Rhino; elevations and layouts should be scaled accordingly to maximise clarity and understanding.
- Working closely with the Design Manager on completed works and projected workload.
- Liaising with procurement, project and workshop teams regarding any long lead time materials.
- Discussing design decisions with Lead Joiners.
- Working on projects ranging in value from £1k - £3.5m.
The ideal applicant will be a Designer / Draughtsperson Bespoke Joinery & Furniture with:
- Design or draughtsperson experience utilising Solidworks or Rhino software.
- Familiarity with producing layout drawings.
- Furniture, fit out, joinery or carpentry design experience would be highly advantageous.
- The ability to read technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
- A genuine get up and go work ethic.
