Office Based: Orpington (Hybrid working available)
Area to be covered: Central London (Diary dependant typically 2-3 days per week)
Remuneration: £30,000 - £35,000 neg

The role of the Designer – Building Surveying will involve:
- CAD Designer position, working on a range of building surveying works for the social housing sector (typically designing residential drawings, windows, doors, roofing, planned maintenance, elevation and refurbishment works)
- Use 2D AutoCAD to produce detailed technical drawings from client brief and project specifications
- Work closely with local authorities and social housing clients, suppliers and internal teams to develop practical and commercially viable design solutions
- Oversee projects from initial concept through to completion
- Liaise closely with internal building surveyor teams
- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings and specifications whilst providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and revise drawings in line with client feedback, site surveys and design changes to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently
- Projects range in value from £2,000 up to £1m
The ideal applicant will be a Designer – Building Surveying with:
- Must have 2D AutoCAD experience
- Must have experience within the external building products sector (planned maintenance, refurbishment, fit out, roofing, fire, doors, windows, small works or closely related)
- May be open to a more Junior candidate
- Highly advantageous to have experience with local authorities or social housing
- Ideally will degree or relevant construction qualification
- Confident, resilient and articulate
- Strong organisation skills and high attention to detail
- Technical understanding and can interpret drawings
