Area Sales Manager – Building Plastics Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Building Plastics Industry Sector: Roofline, Rainwater Systems, Bath Panels, Underground Drainage, Cellular Plastics & Room Liner, Window Trims, PVC, uPVC, Fascia, Gutters, Cladding Systems, Builders Merchants, Buying Groups, Specialist Plastic Suppliers, Housebuilders, Installers, New Build, Social Housing and Local Authorities Area to be covered: Anglia and Home Counties (East of line from Peterborough to London) Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 Neg. + up to £8,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car & full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Building Plastics will involve: * Field sales position selling a manufactured range of building plastics for roofline, rainwater, and underground applications as well as PVC bath panels * Initially all of your time managing circa 130 customer (distributor) accounts, typically £20,000-£250,000 * Majority of customer accounts are builders merchants (incl. buying groups) and specialist plastic/ PVC suppliers * Revenue responsibility for approx. £10m+ * After 6-12 months you will spend up to 40% of your tie selling into end users such as; national and regional housebuilders (new build), main contactors, installers and social housing providers * Huge portfolio of products including; fascias, gutters, window trims, underground drainage & room liner etc. The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Building Plastics with: * 2-3 years field sales expeirence, must have a proven track record of selling building products (open to bricks, blocks, roofing systems, rooflights, windows etc.) * Ideally a blend of customer experience, housebuilders, main contractors, installers or social housing providers and builders merchants/ buying groups or specialist plastic distributors * Ideally some allied building plastics knowledge such as; fascias, gutters, cladding systems, window trims, underground drainage, decking & room liner etc. although full product training will be provided * Capable of being a “safe pair of hands” in respect of account managing existing customers, but also with new business development capability * Driven, target focussed and a team player * Analytical thinker The Company: * Established 30 years+ * Part of an established group * £100m+ turnover Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Roofline, Rainwater Systems, Bath Panels, Underground Drainage, Cellular Plastics, Decking & Room Liner, Window Trims, PVC, uPVC, Fascia, Gutters, Cladding Systems, Builders Merchants, Buying Groups, Specialist Plastic Suppliers, Housebuilders, Installers, New Build, Social Housing and Local Authorities
