The role of the Contract Manager – Passive Fire Protection will involve:

  • Promoting a high quality range of various fire doors and passive fire protection products
  • Planning projects and ensuring they are programmed to a high level of detail
  • Ensuring procurement and reconciliation of materials is carried out to deliver best value and to prevent delays
  • Ensuring site management team are briefed properly to fulfil the project to the highest standard
  • Attending tender handover meetings and delivering pre-start meetings to the site team
  • Producing a project plan and forecast
  • Ensuring weekly reviews of progress, budget, resources and forward planning are carried out
  • Chairing and attending internal and external meetings
  • Producing relevant RAMS and H&S documents, ensuring that these are adhered to
  • Ensuring timely management of both temporary and permanent staff to meet the requirements of each project
  • Maintaining and managing construction sites and subcontractors, ensuring all subcontractors follow the company's procedures and processes

The ideal applicant will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience within the fire stopping, fire door or fire protection industry
  • Contracts Management experience, although would consider a Projects Manager / Assistant Contracts Manager within the Fire industry
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • High levels of organisation
  • Confidence to deal with any problems that occur on site
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
