The role of the Quantity Surveyor – Flat Roofing Systems will involve:

  • Quantity Surveyor position dealing with various flat roofing systems such as: bitumen membrane systems, single ply systems, hot melt waterproofing, cold applied liquid systems, insulation & green roofs
  • Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from initial award through to final account.
  • Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, tender submissions, quotations and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) where required.
  • Preparing, reviewing and administering contracts, subcontracts and associated commercial documentation.
  • Monitoring project costs, valuations, variations and forecasts to ensure projects remain within budget and maximise profitability.
  • Managing projects ranging in value from £100k up to circa £3m

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor – Flat Roofing Systems with:

  • Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the roofing market sector, (highly advantageous to have Flat Roofing experience)
  • Beneficial to have experience dealing with Tier 1 contractors
  • Must be confident in resolving any project related issues in a professional manner
  • Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Effective time management, leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
