The role of the Specification Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products will involve:

  • Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles.
  • Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll).
  • 100% specification field sales role, targeting architects and interior designers (A&D), fit-out contractors and end users.
  • Historically strong into commercial office, education, universities, student accommodation etc.
  • Working alongside two existing field sales professionals covering London.
  • Inheriting a small project bank, you will be expected to invoice a relatively small amount of £500,000 in your first year.
  • Targeting to grow a sizable project bank of circa £3m-£5m, with a view to closing these projects over the coming years.
  • Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database.
  • Project sizes from 500m², typically £10,000 upwards project value.

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products with:

  • A proven track record of selling into the architects or interior designers (A&D) specification marketplace.
  • Ideally from the flooring/ carpet industry.
  • Open to interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture.
  • Contacts within architects and interior designers (A&D), fit-out contractors and end users may be beneficial.
  • Tactile sales background rather than technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related.
  • Team player with energy, passion and enthusiasm.
  • Strong commercial and presentation skills.
