The role will involve:
- Field sales position selling the design, supply, install, service, and maintenance of renewable energy and low-carbon technology solutions.
- Full turn-key installation of commercial solar.
- Selling into primarily manufacturing (aerospace, defence, food etc.) and commercial real estate sectors such as landlords and leisure providers.
- Selling into and managing relationships with business owners/building owner end users.
- Typical project sizes from £100,000–£1m+.
- New business hunter role (although as much as 50% of your projects may come from inbound leads).
- £2m revenue target.
- Ideally you will be able to get into our clients’ West Midlands office one day per week in the first 6 months.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Field sales experience in the commercial solar market (seasoned solar PV sales professional).
- May consider other energy efficiency solutions, LED lighting, energy storage, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps or energy measurement and monitoring backgrounds looking to move into commercial solar.
- New business hunter.
- Technical experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of the manufacturing or commercial real estate sectors.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated/self-starter.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
