The role of the Area Sales Manager - Timber & Sheet Panel Products will involve:
- Field sales position selling a range of timber products and sheet panel materials.
- Selling into various contractors including joinery contractors, small to medium sized builders, housebuilders, main contractors, dry lining contractors, fencing contractors, hoarding contractors, façade contractors, shop fitters, kitchen manufacturers, joinery retailers, etc.
- Predominantly a new business development role, you will be given some dormant accounts.
- Tasked with a £1m target.
- Stimulating demand with the contractors and fulfilling all orders via depot on patch.
- One day a week in depot on patch, 3.5-4 days a week on the road.
- Typically 6+ customer visits per day.
- No targets for the first quarter, opportunity to build your pipeline so that you can remain one quarter ahead.
- Working closely with the Branch manager and rest of team to identify new business opportunities.
- Treat the area like it's your own business; you will be responsible for marketing and planning strategy.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Timber & Sheet Panel Products with:
- Proven track record in construction field sales and the timber industry.
- Open to all building products backgrounds; knowledge of timber and sheet panel products preferred.
- Must have sold into contractors to stimulate demand.
