The role of the Area Sales Manager β Wood Burning Stoves will involve:
- Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of domestic solid fuel stove ranges
- Selling into an established network of retail fireplace specialist showrooms
- Initially responsible for circa 130 retail showroom accounts with a turnover of approx. Β£1.8m
- 80-90% account management/ account development role, huge opportunity for growth as the South East and South West have the highest concentration of wood burners in the UK (North West region has a turnover of Β£3m)
- 10-20% of your time weeding out poor performing accounts and replacing these with new independent retailers
- Fireplace retailers vary in size from Β£20,000 to Β£250,000 turnover
- Working in conjunction with a field sales person promoting our clients range of gas and electric fires
- Promoting products and obtaining display space
- Developing relationship with independent retail managers/ owners
- 1st month will be heavily product training centric (conducted by Stoves sales Director)
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager β Wood Burning Stoves with:
- Must have field sales experience within the independent retail showroom market
- Experience selling into installers and trade shops may be beneficial for future business development
- Ideally sold associated products to stoves or fireplace, heating products etc.
- Technical sales capability (may consider KBB product sales backgrounds with strong technical capability and strong customer base experience)
- Team player, self-motivated comfortable with lone working and occasional overnight stays
- Knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management
