The role of the Area Sales Manager will involve:
- Field sales role selling a manufactured and distributed range of grilles, diffusers, VAV systems, FCUs, AHUs, acoustic solutions, natural ventilation, displacement systems and bespoke solutions.
- 60%-70% grills and diffusers focused.
- 50% managing relationships with M&E contractors.
- 50% specification sales led with M&E consultants and architects.
- Taking over responsibility for field sales activity from outgoing Managing Director.
- Tasked with maintaining turnover of circa £2-£3m.
- Taking over some long established relationships with M&E consultants and contractors.
- CPD presentations.
- Order values typically £20,000 but can range from £10,000-£250,000.
- Potential for growth into a senior management position in the future.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager with:
- Proven field sales track record of having sold HVAC/building services systems.
- Specific knowledge of grilles, diffusers, VAV systems, FCUs, AHUs, acoustic solutions, natural ventilation, displacement systems and other bespoke solutions may be beneficial.
- Open to most HVAC/building services industry experience such as; ventilation, diffusion, floor grilles, louvres, pipework, insulation etc.
- Experience winning specification projects via M&E consultants or architects as well as the M&E contractors.
- New business tenacity and drive.
- Technically capable.
- Ability to work on own initiative and works well with others.
- Self-motivated, good communicator and IT literate.
