Area Sales Manager – Ground Shoring and Groundwork Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Ground Shoring and Groundwork Industry Sector: Ground Shoring, Groundworkers, Concrete Frame Contractors, Construction, Civil Engineering, Formwork and Falsework Area to be covered: East Midlands; Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 + £10,000-£15,000 commission Benefits: Hybrid Car or Car allowance of £500 per month + full benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager – Ground Shoring and Groundwork will involve: * Field sales position selling predominantly the hire (but also the sale) of ground shoring products including: trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products * Opportunity to sell formwork and falsework after 6 months * Selling into groundworkers * Vacancy has come about through a leaver, you will inherit a turnover of just under £800,000 * Responsible for growing the area, although it is not expected that you will generate revenue in the first six months * Huge opportunity for growth on this area due to AMP 7&8 (multi billion pound water treatment works over the next 5 years) * 80% new business development within your own contacts and also within our clients existing formwork & falsework customer database * 20% account development targeting existing clients * Project sizes will vary from £1,000 (a few trench boxes for a few weeks) up to £6,000+ per week for projects lasting 6 months+ (e.g. 2-3 story basement projects) * Visiting construction sites typically 4 days per week and on average 4 customer visits per day * Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Ground Shoring and Groundwork with: * Preferably with ground shoring, temporary works or civil engineering field sales experience * Knowledge of formwork and falsework may be beneficial down the line when selling the wider portfolio * Ideally sold into groundworkers * Open to technical groundshoring backgrounds looking for 1st field sales role * Open to hire or sales industry field sales experience * Proven territory management skills/ field sales proven track record preferred * Contacts within groundworkers may be beneficial * Construction site experience * Specific knowledge of trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products is not essential * Empathetic, energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Ground shoring, groundworking, trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products, groundworkers, concrete frame contractors, construction, civil engineering contractors, formwork and falsework
