The role of Estimator Commercial flooring will involve:
- Senior Estimator position dealing with a range of commercial and residential flooring projects including painting & decorating, fit-out, strip-out and refurb
- Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
- Producing formal quotations to customers
- Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
- Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
- Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
- Negotiating with clients, tier-1 contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Commercial flooring with:
- Must have 5+ years Estimating experience within the construction sector
- Highly advantageous to have experience within flooring, fit-out, painting, decorating or come from a closely related background
- Would be ideal to have experience dealing with Tier-1 contractors
- Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
- Ideally would have a quantity surveying degree
- Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
