The role of the Procurement Manager β Woodwork & Cutting Tools will involve:
- Dealing with a manufactured range of woodwork & cutting tools including router cutters, routing jigs and router accessories.
- Focusing on optimising procurement processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and integrating purchasing functions to improve inventory control and supplier management.
- Developing and implementing new procurement strategies to improve cost efficiencies, supplier performance and continuity of supply.
- Collaborating with IT, warehouse, finance and other internal departments to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
- Defining system requirements and working closely with vendors and developers to customise systems as required.
- Monitoring and managing supplier performance and order processes, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- Overseeing purchase order completion, approval workflows, and stock replenishment.
The ideal applicant will be a Procurement Manager β Woodwork & Cutting Tools with:
- Procurement or Buying experience within the construction, tools, or manufacturing sector.
- Experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) sector is highly advantageous.
- A related degree (Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics etc.) is beneficial.
- Previous experience managing procurement teams is ideal.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness and decision-making capability.
