Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Specification Sales Manager to lead light-weight structural steel framing sales across North East & Yorkshire.
Job Details
- Industry: Through‑the‑wall construction, wall performance, building envelope systems
- Area: North East & Yorkshire
- Remuneration: £55,000‑£60,000 base + up to 30% bonus

Key Responsibilities
- Field sales of lightweight structural steel framing systems
- Drive 50% new business development and 50% account management for existing projects
- Manage 100+ live projects at all stages from design to construction delivery
- Allocate 40% of time selling to subcontractors (dryliners, façade contractors, etc.) and 60% to winning specifications and influencing architects and main contractors
- Manage an area turnover of £1.5 m‑£2.5 m
- Conduct CPDs for specification design managers and other key decision makers
- Maximise leads from installers and manage key supply‑chain partnerships with main contractors
- Handle projects ranging from a few hundred metres to 30,000 m² wall elevation
Qualifications
- Structural or technical specification field sales experience with architects and/or main contractors
- Established contacts within architects, main contractors, dryliners, and subcontractors
- Knowledge of through‑the‑wall construction, wall performance, fire resistance, fire testing
- Experience at a blue‑chip construction manufacturer (e.g., insulation, cladding, steel framing, timber frame, off‑site systems)
- Understanding of U‑Value calculations, acoustic value, MMC thermal concepts
- Strong presentation skills
