The role of the Senior Estimator – Roof Refurbishment will involve:
- Promoting a range of roofing and cladding refurbishment services
- Pathway to progress into the Head of Estimating role after one year
- Dealing with inbound project enquiries and reviewing scopes of work
- Carrying out site surveys and measurements to compile further information for quotation
- Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information as required
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices
- Producing formal quotations to clients
- Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
- Building and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
- Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Estimating for projects ranging in value from £100k to £500k
The ideal applicant will be a Senior Estimator – Roof Refurbishment with:
- Extensive estimating experience within the roof refurbishment market with experience across multiple types of roofing such as flat roofing, pitched roofing & roof sheeting
- Ideally have people management experience with strong leadership traits
- Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
- Understanding of JCT contracts
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong numerical skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, particularly savvy in Excel)
