The role of Sales Manager – Geotechnical Systems will involve:
- Overseeing the specification division dealing with a range of geotechnical systems such as grass reinforcements, tree root protection, ground protection, gravel reinforcements and traffic paving.
- Managing a sales & technical team of 8 members currently with plans to expand the team.
- Leading, driving and developing the team to ensure that team targets are hit.
- Ensuring the development of each team member through monthly meetings and annual performance reviews.
- Assisting with any technical assistance for challenging queries involving engineers where required.
- Assisting with the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to improve performance.
- Maintaining and improving conversion rate of technical leads to orders.
- Providing monthly sales reports to Senior Management.
The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager – Geotechnical Systems with:
- A proven track record in sales management with examples of growing and nurturing teams within the construction industry.
- Technical knowledge of the civils / groundworks market sector would be an advantage.
- Experience dealing with specifiers, consultants, contractors and councils.
- Familiarity with specifications and specification literature.
- Strong people management skills.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
- Highly organised, motivated and driven.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
- An outgoing, enthusiastic and confident personality.
