Estimator – Curtain Walling
Location: Newcastle
Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 + profit related bonus

The role of the Estimator – Curtain Walling will involve:
- Estimator position producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems such as: aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, glazing, and rainscreen cladding
- Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
- Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
- Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
- Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
- Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Curtain Walling experience with:
- Must have estimating experience within building envelope market sector
- Must have good technical knowledge of the façade industry (curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreen)
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Must be IT literate, ideally familiar with estimating software like Schueco and Logikal
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
