The role will involve:

  • Estimator position dealing with a range of commercial painting & decorating projects
  • Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and estimating software.
  • Manage and track tender opportunities within CRM, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions.
  • Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators to strengthen delivery and capability.
  • Working on project sizes varying from £4k to £4m.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Estimating experience within one or more of the following: decorating and/or painting sectors.
  • Preferably coming from a sub-contractor background with commercial project experience.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of industry processes, materials, and costs.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
  • Full UK driving license.
