The role of Estimator – Construction & Refurb will involve:
- Senior Estimator position dealing with construction & refurb projects within commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public sectors
- This role, whilst focused on estimating, will include operations, procurement and additional tasks
- Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
- Visiting site 1-2 times per month, typically within the North West
- Negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Producing formal quotations to customers
- Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
- Keeping good photo, video & writing documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Working on projects ranging in value from £10k to circa £2.5m
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Construction & Refurb with:
- Estimating experience within the construction / refurb / fit out market sector
- Experience working for a main contractor is preferable
- A related qualification within the construction industry is preferable
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
- Professional, highly organised and good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player who also works well individually
