The role of the Transport Planner – Aggregates & Muck Away will involve:

  • Transport Planner position dealing with a range of aggregate supply and waste disposal services

  • Efficiently planning all delivery routes to customers utilising up to 50 wagons at any one time (average of 250 daily deliveries)

  • Managing subcontractors / 3^rd party hauliers

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure an efficient delivery service

  • Building long term relationships with external customers and key stakeholders

  • Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure best possible planning is obtained

  • Developing strong relationships with customers and drivers, providing updates and any delivery issues in a timely manner

  • Must have transport planner / route planning experience within the aggregates industry

  • Ideally will have experience on transport management systems such as: Haultech

  • Plenty of energy, passion and self-motivation

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the North-West region

  • Personable demeanour with excellent communication skills, both written and verbally

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
