Remuneration: £36,000 – £40,000 + £7,200 – £8,000 bonus

The role of the Design Engineer – Composite Building Products will involve:
- Design Engineer role working on a range of rail projects utilizing a high quality range of GRP Composite and aluminium building products
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for rail platforms, walkways, access systems and bespoke structures
- Develop detailed fabrication, installation and general arrangement drawings from client specifications and engineering requirements
- Review drawings and design information, identifying issues, incorporating changes and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Provide technical support to Sales, clients, Engineering and Manufacturing, developing practical and commercially viable solutions
- Support IDC/IDR meetings, respond to technical queries and ensure design comments and actions are effectively closed out
The ideal applicant will be a Design Engineer – Composite Building Products with:
- Must have extensive experience as a CAD Engineer within a technical design, engineering, structural or manufacturing environment
- Ideally have experience working on UK rail / Network Rail projects
- Knowledge of GRP/composite structures, fabrication processes and structural design principles would be highly advantageous
- Project led with an ability to think laterally
- Strong attention to detail
