The role of the House Builder Area Sales Manager for Timber and Joinery will involve:

Field sales role selling a manufactured range of timber for staircases, floors and doors

Selling into regional housebuilders, circa 20-40 initial relationships to inherit with regional housebuilders

Dealing with MD’s down to site contractors

You will inherit an area going through diversification and expansion but with a modest initial turnover of £500,000

Tasked with growing the area to £1m (huge scope to become a £3m-£4m turnover area in a few years

50% new business development, 50% utilizing relationships with regional builders via parent national builders merchant

70% on the road visiting construction sites to discuss projects/ engaging with sub contractors etc., 30% working from home/ admin/ engaging national builders merchants’ sales team

Working within a field sales team of two in the south covering the regional house builders, main/ historical field sales team for our client focuses on the national housebuilders

Working on projects up to 350 plots

You will be required to increase the customer base and hit turnover and margin targets in line with company strategy

Must have sold to regional housebuilders

Ideally sold timber or joinery associated products, however our client is open to most building products
