The role of the Estimator - Construction will involve:

  • Estimator position overseeing a high-quality range of broad new build and refurbishment projects, covering industrial, commercial, civil and residential sectors (works can but not limited to; structural works, building envelope systems, flooring, M&E and drainage)
  • Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and estimating software
  • Manage and track tender opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions
  • Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids
  • Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators to strengthen delivery and capability
  • Oversee projects up to £20m in value (typically £8m)

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Construction with:

  • Must have Estimating experience within the construction sector
  • Highly advantageous to come from a Tier-1 or Main contractor
  • An ideal candidate will possess experience dealing with a range of new-build and refurbishment contracts
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Must be a great team player
  • Must be a hard worker that’s ready to get stuck in
  • High levels of organisation
  • Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
