The role of the HSE Manager - Structural Steelwork will involve:
- Implementing the health, safety and environmental programs for heavy & light steelwork projects.
- Leading, developing and maintaining HSE management systems in line with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
- Ensuring products consistently meet required specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.
- Driving health and safety performance through effective risk management, incident investigation, and implementation of safe working practices.
- Planning and overseeing internal and external audits, ensuring non-conformances are addressed with robust corrective actions.
- Supporting environmental and sustainability, including waste reduction, energy efficiency and continual improvement.
- Monitoring performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and reporting outcomes to senior management.
- Overseeing projects typically up to £10m in value.
The ideal applicant will be a HSE Manager - Structural Steelwork with:
- Experience in Health and Safety or a background from an equivalent position (HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, etc.).
- Experience within structural steelwork or related sectors (industrial doors, temporary buildings, SFS, architectural metal, steelwork, mezzanine flooring, modular buildings).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to hit the ground running.
- IT literate.
