The role of Estimator - Fit-Out will involve:

  • Dealing with a range of commercial construction projects including fit-out, strip-out and refurb.
  • Typical projects include full turnkey solutions across medical, educational and leisure sectors.
  • Requirement to visit sites across the UK to conduct site surveys, attend project meetings and gather information required for estimating.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations.
  • Negotiating with clients, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team.
  • Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines.
  • Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
  • Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information.
  • Working on projects ranging in value from £5000 to circa £5m+.

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Fit-Out with:

  • Estimating experience within Fit-Out or closely related.
  • Open to someone within strip-out, refurb, new build or joinery.
  • Highly advantageous to have understanding of construction contracts and the ability to read and interpret contractual documentation.
  • Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs.
  • Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
