The role of the Design Engineer - Safety Equipment will involve
- Senior Design Engineer position responsible for supporting and developing an established range of mechanical and electromechanical products.
- Leading sustaining engineering activities, product improvements and design modifications across the existing product portfolio.
- Producing engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, bills of materials, technical specifications and design documentation.
- Carrying out engineering calculations, product validation, testing and technical analysis to support product changes.
- Assisting with selected new product development projects from concept through to production where required.
- Supporting product testing, verification and validation activities.
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance across the engineering team.
The ideal applicant will be a Design Engineer - Safety Equipment with
- Must have experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design.
- Must have experience using 3D CAD software.
- Ideally degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience producing engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and engineering principles.
- Experience supporting products through design changes, production support or product lifecycle improvements.
