Based: Birmingham (3-4 days per week)
Area to be covered: London (although can be National)
Remuneration: £55,000 - £65,000neg

The role of the Designer - Sheet Metal will involve:
- Design Management position promoting a range of architectural aluminium systems for residential and commercial projects
- Manage, grow and build an internal team of 3 designers
- May be a requirement to visit projects, which are typically within London although can be national
- Use AutoCAD to develop detailed design specifications for products and projects
- Work closely with clients, architects, project managers and internal teams
- Offer 1st line technical support by telephone, email and occasional site visits
- Support new product launches and exhibitions as and when required
- Review, create and analyse project / product designs
- Manage projects ranging in value up-to £1m+
The ideal applicant will be a Designer - Sheet Metal with:
- Must have Design experience within sheet metal or have experience with architectural aluminium
- Highly advantageous to have existing people management experience although open to a Designer looking to take a step-up
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding of current building regulations
- Strong character that’s not afraid to help the team when necessary
- Confident and articulate
