A growing and forward-thinking business based in Shenstone is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded accountant to take ownership of project accounting and full-cycle management accounts, providing insight and support to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Oversee project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring project costs, and reporting profitability.
- Analyse financial performance, highlighting trends and identifying areas for improvement.
- Complete VAT returns (Swedish, Irish, and UK).
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, providing commercial insights and recommendations.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and system/process improvements.
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Strong experience in project accounting within a commercial environment.
- Proven track record in preparing management accounts from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting software desirable.
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
