Mitchell Adam are partnering directly with one of the UK's most respected commercial vehicle dealerships, seeking an experienced and hands-on Interim Financial Controller to oversee their finance function at their busy head office.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the business, working closely with their Accounts, Payroll, and HR team to support multiple branches.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Taking full responsibility for the monthly management accounts, journals, and P&L reporting.
- Supervising the VAT returns and annual audit preparation, including liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and the wider leadership team.
Ideally, you will:
- Be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant experience in a similar role such as a Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant.
- Have a strong knowledge of the motor trade, commercial vehicles, or multi-site retail environments.
- Be organised, commercially aware, and confident working with senior stakeholders as well as non-financial stakeholders.
- Have excellent communication and mentoring skills enabling you to 'hit the ground running'.
