My client is a cutting edge logistics and supply business. As they continue to grow and secure new business, we're proud to announce a major contract with an annual turnover of £60 million. To support this exciting new venture, we're looking for a commercially astute and hands-on Finance Manager to join our team in Avonmouth. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing the financial framework for a high-value operation from day one. Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Lead, you'll be responsible for all aspects of financial management for the contract, from reporting and analysis to budgeting and stakeholder support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end financial control and reporting for the £60m turnover closed book contract
- Develop robust financial processes and controls in line with standards and customer requirements
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
- Provide detailed financial analysis and insight to drive operational performance
- Act as a business partner to operational leaders, supporting strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations
- Build strong relationships with the customer and internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong track record in a similar Finance Manager role, ideally in a contract logistics or supply chain environment
- Experience managing closed book contracts is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Excel, Power BI)
