Project Accountant - System Testing in Birmingham

Mitchell Adam are partnering with an exciting, market-leading business to support their search for an Interim Project Accountant. This role will play a key part in the final stages of a bespoke finance system implementation with a strong focus on data analysis and report testing. You will be fully embedded within a high-calibre finance team, analysing complex data sets to identify,investigate and resolve discrepancies following the recent system migration. Alongside the project work, you will also support the day-to-day finance function, including VAT and gross margin reporting. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and validate data following a finance system implementation Test reports and investigate discrepancies Support VAT and gross margin reporting Provide hands-on support to the wider finance team during a critical period Ideally, you will: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), qualified by experience candidates with relevant background will also be considered Proven experience working with complex data sets, ideally following a system migration A proactive self-starter, comfortable working autonomously in a new environment Experience within Water, Utilities or Telecoms is advantageous In Return, You Will: Opportunity to work autonomously within a well-established, fast-growing business Exposure to a technically strong and complex finance team Hybrid working from a state of the are Birmingham city centre office The chance to add immediate value during a critical project phase Competitive interim rate, reflective of experience This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, analytically minded interim professional.
