As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll within a busy finance function. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, including:
- Checking and processing payroll data
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
- Resolving payroll queries
- Preparing payroll reports
- Reconciling payroll and HMRC records
- Ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures
You will also assist with year-end payroll activities, including the preparation of P11Ds, and support payroll audits and compliance requirements as required.
The successful candidate will be confident working with high volumes of data, able to identify and resolve discrepancies, and provide meaningful support to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous payroll experience within a busy payroll or finance environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manage, manipulate and analyse data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
