Part-time 26.33 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days and one additional week during school holidays. We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, efficient and enthusiastic School Finance Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a key role within the school, providing financial, personnel, premises and administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective running of our school.
Working alongside our school administrator, you will help form the central office of the school, acting as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, governors and external agencies. As well as managing the school's financial and personnel functions, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional and efficient front office that sits at the heart of our school community.
The successful candidate will work alongside our School Administrator and closely with the Headteacher and Governors, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school's finances, personnel administration and a range of operational functions. They will play an important role in supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial monitoring, reporting and budget management.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of financial administration, budgeting and accounting procedures.
- Possesses excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Is confident using ICT systems and financial software.
- Can work independently, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships with staff, governors, parents and external agencies.
- Experience of working in a school environment and knowledge of school finance systems, such as Bromcom, SIMS or FMS6, would be advantageous but is not essential.
