The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Jewellery Production Manager to lead and coordinate our in‑house workshop at Mitchel & Co. This is a key role at the heart of our business — you’ll be responsible for turning our customers’ ideas into beautifully crafted, high‑quality jewellery, delivered on time and to exacting standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the day‑to‑day running of the jewellery workshop and production office
- Leading and supporting a small, highly skilled team of craftspeople and coordinators
- Briefing bespoke orders into the CAD team and commissioning designs, castings and components
- Scheduling and allocating work across goldsmiths, setters, polishers and external specialists
- Overseeing workflow, deadlines and production status for all bespoke and collection pieces
- Acting as a key link between production, sales, designers and customers
- Maintaining exceptional quality control at every stage of manufacture
- Managing materials, gemstones, stock levels and work‑in‑progress using internal systems
- Monitoring costs, estimates and production budgets, identifying efficiencies where possible
- Maintaining supplier and production databases and sourcing new partners when needed
- Upholding health, safety and compliance standards within the workshop
- Communicating with customers regarding production progress and queries when required
- Supporting wider business operations in a flexible, hands‑on way
About You
- Proven experience in jewellery production management or a senior jewellery coordination role
- Strong understanding of fine jewellery materials, craftsmanship and production processes
- Highly organised, calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- A confident communicator and natural problem‑solver
- Supportive leadership style with good delegation and decision‑making skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in delivering outstanding quality
- Adaptable, collaborative and happy to roll your sleeves up when needed
