About the Role
We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our busy workshop team, working primarily in-house with occasional site/field work. You will be involved in the repair, overhaul, maintenance and servicing of marine and industrial driveline equipment, including transmissions, torque converters, axles and associated products. This is a great opportunity to broaden your mechanical experience within specialist driveline applications, backed by strong brands and an international group.
Key Responsibilities
- Strip, examine, diagnose, and repair customer equipment in the workshop as directed by the Workshop Manager/Foreman.
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing at customer premises or other sites when required.
- Work on a wide range of marine and off-highway driveline systems and components.
- Adhere to all company working practices, safety standards and reporting procedures.
- Complete all required job documentation and any other tasks as assigned.
Competencies & Experience
- Recognised qualification or proven industry experience in mechanical engineering.
- Comprehensive engineering knowledge and strong awareness of safety requirements.
- Sound knowledge of general engineering equipment service and repair; driveline experience is an advantage.
- Competent in using measuring equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems beneficial.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to use computer programs for works management and report writing.
