About Mistral

Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems—across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector—co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms. We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.

About The Role

As Head of Brand Marketing, you will sit at the intersection of storytelling, culture, product, communications, design, and go-to-market. You'll help answer some of the biggest questions facing our industry:

  • What does a frontier AI company look and feel like?
  • How do we make highly technical innovation resonate globally?
  • How do we build trust at scale?
  • How do we create a brand that developers love, enterprises trust, and the world's best talent wants to join?

You’ll report to the CMO and work closely with our founders and leaders across Product, Research, Communications, Design, and Go-to-Market.

What You’ll Do

  • Scale the Mistral brand: Evolve our global brand strategy, positioning, and messaging as we scale. You’ll ensure that every interaction with Mistral—whether it’s a product launch, keynote, website, campaign, customer story, or hiring experience—feels unmistakably Mistral.
  • Build a cultural brand: Create programs and campaigns that position Mistral at the centre of conversations around AI, technology, innovation, and society. You’ll help shape how we engage in these conversations across social media, content, events, partnerships, and earned channels.
  • Elevate every launch: Partner with Product Marketing, Communications, and Product teams to turn launches into moments. From frontier models to new products and flagship events, you’ll create campaigns that people remember and talk about.
  • Build a world-class brand marketing function: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team across brand marketing, campaigns, content, events, and production. Develop the operating rhythm, planning processes, agency partnerships, and executional excellence required to deliver high-impact global programmes.
  • Partner with Design to bring the brand to life: Work closely with Design, who own brand identity and creative direction, to translate strategy into world-class market-facing campaigns, launches, experiences, and content.
  • Own our global narrative: Partner with Communications and Executive Leadership to ensure Mistral has a clear, compelling, and consistent story across every audience.
  • Build Iconic Experiences: Create experiences that customers, developers, media, and employees genuinely want to attend. Think flagship events, executive experiences, partnerships, digital experiences and moments that define our brand.
  • Measure brand awareness, perception, and impact: Define how we measure the impact of brand across awareness, perception, engagement, talent attraction, and commercial outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience leading Brand Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Integrated Marketing, or Campaign Marketing within a high-growth technology company.
  • A track record of building and scaling impactful brand marketing programmes globally.
  • Experience developing and executing large-scale global campaigns, launches, and events.
  • Strong experience managing agencies, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities and editorial instincts.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a history of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with executive stakeholders and founders.
  • A data-informed approach to measuring brand impact and marketing effectiveness.
  • The ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • A high bar for execution, quality, and operational excellence.

We’d be particularly excited if you have

  • Experience in AI, developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, or consumer technology.
  • Built or scaled a category-defining brand.
  • Led flagship events or globally recognised marketing campaigns.
  • A strong point of view on the role AI will play in society over the next decade.
