Role Summary As our Developer Education Lead , you will define the strategic vision for all technical documentation at Mistral AI.
Your responsibilities include: Structuring and standardizing technical content to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with the needs of users, developers, and partners.
Building and leading a team of technical writers, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams.
Driving editorial and technical excellence, while optimizing tools and processes for scalable, high‑impact documentation.
Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, ensuring documentation aligns with technical and product priorities.
What You Will Do Strategic Leadership Define and execute a comprehensive documentation strategy aligned with product roadmaps and business objectives.
Develop a forward‑looking vision for documentation, anticipating the needs of diverse audiences, including developers, enterprises, and researchers.
Advocate for users in product and technical discussions.
Team Management Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of technical writers.
Prioritize documentation projects based on business impact and user feedback.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support to ensure documentation supports product development, onboarding, and customer success.
Partner with Engineering to adopt a “docs‑as‑code” approach, embedding documentation early in the development lifecycle.
Participate in technical reviews to maintain accuracy and relevance.
Standardization French is a bonus.
