This role will ideally suit a person who is happy to work in a smaller business where they get involved in all aspects of the general day-to-day running. Ideally, you will have come from a service-based environment where the emphasis is on giving excellent customer service and support, from initial contact to completion of the project. Ideally, hours will be 9-5 or 8-4; however, there may be some flexibility for the right person.
Well-established company based in Holmwood, near Dorking, Surrey, serving a growing base of private and commercial clients across the South East. We’re a close-knit, hands-on team operating from a busy office, and we’re looking for a proactive and organised individual to support our office operations.
About the Role
This is a varied and busy position supporting day-to-day business activities. You’ll be part of the team keeping operations running smoothly managing schedules, coordinating communications, and assisting both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Assisting Director and Managers with daily tasks and coordination.
- Client Liaison: Handle calls, emails, and follow-ups professionally and courteously.
- Scheduling: Manage diaries, site visits, and team calendars.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and internal communications.
- Office Management: Process invoices, orders, and supplier communications.
- General Support: Keep the office organised, receive deliveries, and assist where needed.
Person we are looking for
- Experience in administration, reception, or PA roles—ideally in a service-based business.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Tech-savvy with solid IT skills and adaptability to new systems.
- Must be able to commute daily to our North Holmwood.
- Parking available.
