About the company: A leading international multi-channel Media group, with a portfolio spanning across print, digital and events (UK & overseas).
Day-to-day duties:
- Editing, proofing, commissioning, uploading digital content, sourcing images and writing marketing materials
Main responsibilities:
- Editing and proofing editorial and marketing copy across the publications
- Commissioning editorial content and maintaining strict deadlines
- Writing e-newsletters, headlines and other marketing copy
- Meeting print and digital deadlines and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Uploading digital content to the company website
- Using social media to promote news, features and other content
- Assisting team members during production cycles while managing own workload
- Liaising with the Sales and Design teams
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Media, Editing, English or similar)
- Excellent editing and proofing skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to be proactive and work efficiently on your own without supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office packages and a working knowledge of InDesign (desirable)
- Good team player: friendly, helpful and enthusiastic
